The artist began working diligently on my paintings around 1985. In the first few years I chose Chinese ink as the medium of my works but later on I was attracted to Eastern-fine painting and preferred to do my paintings in stone powder. I paint a picture on the theme of flower by use of stone powder, gold, silver with plue-oil, alum and water. Small elements painted in gold, silver highlights, I paint the same aesthetic with the color gold, silver playing a starring role. I has always been fascinated with the natural beauty of my native land and my works are inspired by the beauty and serenity of flowers, mountain villages around Seoul and Korea. I love the beauty of nature, and that is the basis of my remarkable achievement. Whatever I paint-flowers, trees, and things- it is always of wit and interest, and true to life.
